An analysis of the Covid Lighthouse with the 124 cities most affected by the coronavirus pandemic showed that the rate of coronavirus contagion slowed down in capitals and increased in the interior of the country, in the period between the end of May and the beginning of June.
The survey shows that 7 of the 10 cities with the highest rate of contagion in Brazil, at the moment, are in the state of Pará.
The data from Lighthouse Covid show that, among the cities analyzed, Porto Alegre has a lower rate of contagion, with 0.99, which means that, on average, each infected with coronavirus infects less than one person in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. On the opposite side, the city of Barcarena, in Pará, has the highest rate of contagion among those analyzed, with 2.36.
The analysis shows that the advance of the coronavirus has slowed down in capitals. Among the 10 cities with the lowest rate of contagion are Porto Alegre, Fortaleza, São Paulo, Manaus and São Luís.
