Impulse at Folha de S. Paulo: What if we took our health data seriously?

Impulso Gov was featured in Folha de S. Paulo, with an article signed by our executive director, João Abreu, the Maranhão Health Secretary and Conass president, Carlos Lula, and Harvard professor Márcia Castro. The text discusses the impacts of the hacker attack on the Ministry of Health's systems and highlights the potential of health databases in Brazil. “We have information and health teams prepared to make the SUS a much smarter system. But we are not taking it seriously.”

Impulso Previne: Impulso launches SUS virtual assistant to help municipalities manage the Prevent Brazil program

Do you already know Prevent Brazil? The program changes the logic of federal funding for SUS Primary Health Care. Thinking about the challenges imposed by this new policy, Impulso developed Impulso Previne, a free digital platform that centralizes Previne Brasil's data and analysis to present them in an intuitive, fast and uncomplicated way!

New Impulso Prevent Partner: Instituto Dynamo

In October 2021, we signed a new important partnership to put Impulso Previne on the air. The Dynamo Institute, a non-profit organization that works with civil society organizations, will support the Impulso platform, which will allow public managers to visualize, in a simple and clear way, the indicators established by Previne Brasil, the new SUS financing program in the municipalities. The Behring Foundation and the Opy Institute are already sponsoring the solution, which will be launched in November.

Impulso no Campo and TV: the Mental Health Indicators Project team goes to Aracaju-SE and the initiative is the subject of a Globo report

After more than a year and a half of the pandemic, the Impulso team took its first field trip. In October, project manager Daniela Krausz, project analyst Fernanda Martins Castro and data scientist Bernardo Baron went to Aracaju to get a closer look at the routine of the city's mental health area.

This week, Impulso was featured in Estadão. The article signed by Maure Pessanha, Executive Director of Artemísia, a partner organization of Impuso Gov, mentioned how digital platforms can help public management in the Health field and highlighted the creation of Impulso Previne, a digital platform that will help public managers in analysis of Previne Brasil indicators, the new primary care financing policy.

ImpulsoPrevine: how Impulso has supported municipalities to overcome the challenges of Previne Brasil

Do you already know Prevent Brazil? Previne Brasil is the new federal funding policy for Primary Health Care. Established in 2019, Previne aims to strengthen the Unified Health System (SUS) based on a funding structure that takes into account the performance and results of municipalities in primary care care.

What do the data inform about vaccination against COVID-19 in Brazil?

In the study carried out by Impulso Gov, it was possible to project when the pandemic in Brazil can be controlled. Based on public data on national vaccine production and imports, and considering the number of people in priority groups in the municipalities, it was possible to point out three scenarios for the advancement of vaccination.
